TheFunWait
Privacy Policy
Last updated
This Privacy Policy explains what information TheFunWait ("we", "us") collects when you use TheFunWait, how we use it, and the choices you have.
In short
- TheFunWait does not collect information about the people watching the game. Viewers answer by pointing; there are no cameras, microphones, sign-ins or tracking on the television.
- We collect business and account information you give us, and basic technical information about linked televisions.
- We do not sell personal information and we do not use advertising trackers.
Information we collect
Account information. For Control Center users: name, email address and a securely hashed password.
Business information. For each customer: business name, logo, on-screen message, industry and game settings, entered by an administrator.
Television information. When a television is linked: a random identifier created by the app, the pairing code, the platform and model (for example "Roku" or "Android TV"), the app version, the time it last connected, and how long it played in demo mode. Our servers also record IP addresses in routine logs for security and troubleshooting.
Messages you send us. If you use the contact form: your name, email address, business name, phone number (optional) and message.
How we use information
- To run the service: show the right game, questions and branding on each television, and keep demo time limits.
- To support you and answer your messages.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
Services we rely on
- Hosting and storage. Our servers and media storage (Cloudflare R2) store account data, business data and uploaded images.
- Google Fonts. Televisions and the Control Center load fonts from Google, which receives the device's IP address when a font is downloaded.
- Text-to-speech. Reading questions aloud uses the television's or browser's built-in voice; the text is spoken by the device.
These providers process information only to provide their service to us.
How long we keep information
We keep account and business information while the account is active, and delete it within 90 days after an account is closed, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. Server logs are kept for up to 30 days.
Security
Passwords are stored hashed, connections are encrypted (HTTPS), and each television uses its own random key. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Children
TheFunWait is shown in public waiting areas and may be seen by people of any age, but it does not collect any information from viewers, including children.
